Steak & Shrimp Noodles

  • 8 oz lo mein noodles (or spaghetti/ramen)
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 1 cup bell peppers, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup shredded carrots
  • 2 green onions, sliced (plus more for garnish)

For the Sauce:

  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp rice vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper (optional)

Instructions

Step 1: Prep the Ingredients

  1. Cook noodles according to package instructions, drain, and set aside.
  2. In separate bowls, season steak and shrimp with soy sauce, sesame oil, and black pepper. Let marinate 10 minutes.

Step 2: Sear the Steak & Shrimp

  1. Heat 1 tbsp oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  2. Sear steak strips for 2–3 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.
  3. Add shrimp and cook 1–2 minutes per side until pink. Remove and set aside.

Step 3: Sauté Veggies

  1. Add remaining oil and sauté garlic and onion for 1 minute.
  2. Add bell peppers and carrots; cook until slightly softened.

Step 4: Combine and Sauce

  1. Return noodles to the pan with vegetables.
  2. Add steak, shrimp, and sauce ingredients.
  3. Toss everything well to coat and heat through.

Step 5: Garnish & Serve

  1. Top with green onions and sesame seeds if desired.
  2. Serve hot with extra soy sauce or chili oil on the side.

Tips

  • Use pre-cut stir fry beef to save time
  • Add broccoli or snow peas for extra veggies
  • Swap steak for chicken or tofu for variety
